Almost every receipt exist digitally today, for some reason we print them on paper. Companies spend endless amounts of hours to put paper receipts back into accounting systems. On average a receipt cost 1.5 euro to digitalize again. Also you as a private customer many times miss out on warranties; sometimes even insurance money due to the loss of receipts.
